What information do we collect? How do we use it?
When you register online for workshops or other training events, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card billing address, credit card number, and expiration date. This allows us to process your registration and notify you that your registration was successfully completed.
Like many websites, we use "cookies" to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to our websites. Please refer to the "What about 'cookies'?" section below for information about cookies and how we use them.
We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site.
If you have opted-in to receive our e-mail newsletter, we may send you periodic e-mails. If you would no longer like to receive promotional e-mail from us, please refer to the "How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?" section below. If you have not opted-in to receive e-mail newsletters, you will not receive these e-mails. Visitors who register or participate in other site features such as marketing programs will be given a choice whether they would like to be on our e-mail list and receive e-mail communications from us.
We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Site or to send you other information we think you'll find helpful. However, we will only do this if you have opted-in to receiving those mailings. Also, if at any time you decide you no longer wish to receive them, you can always opt-out by e-mailing us at info@highconflictinstitute.com with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject line.
What about "cookies"?
Like many websites, we may use "cookies" to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to our websites. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while using the Site.
We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you won't have access to many features that make your site experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly. However, you can still place orders over the telephone by contacting customer service.
Analytics, session-recording, and other third-party technologies
To understand how visitors find and use our site, and to improve our content and programs, we use the following third-party technologies. These are non-essential, and we use the information they generate only for analytics and site improvement:
- Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager). Measures site traffic and how visitors navigate our pages. The information is processed by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out across all sites using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Microsoft Clarity. Clarity helps us see how our pages perform by capturing usage data and creating session recordings and heatmaps — for example, mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and other interactions with our pages. This information is captured in a way that is intended to exclude sensitive form fields, and we use it only in aggregate to improve usability. Clarity is provided by Microsoft and is subject to the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Google reCAPTCHA. Our forms use reCAPTCHA to protect against spam and abuse. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Where prior consent is required by law — including for visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — these technologies load only after you accept them through our cookie banner, and you can decline by choosing "Necessary only." Visitors in other regions may disable cookies through their browser settings as described above, or use the provider opt-outs linked above.
Service providers we share form and registration data with
When you fill out a contact form, register for a training, sign up for our newsletter, book a call, or use one of our on-site diagnostic tools, we transmit the information you provided to the third-party service that powers that feature. Each provider receives only the data needed to deliver the service you requested, and each is bound by its own privacy policy and security commitments.
- Keap (formerly Infusionsoft). Our customer relationship management (CRM) platform. When you submit any web form on this site — contact, custom training inquiry, newsletter signup, or the Conflict Cost Calculator and Conflict Readiness Assessment gate forms — your name, email address, organization, role, and any free-text message you provided are transmitted to Keap and stored as a contact record. We use Keap to follow up on your inquiry, send any newsletter you've opted into, and coordinate scheduling and proposals. Keap is operated by Keap Growing Inc. and subject to its Privacy Policy. Data is stored on Keap's servers in the United States.
- Kajabi. Our course delivery and payment platform. When you enroll in or purchase a training, your name, email, billing address, and payment information are transmitted to Kajabi for course access and payment processing. Kajabi may also store course progress and completion records. Kajabi is operated by Kajabi LLC and subject to its Privacy Policy. Payment card data is handled by Kajabi's PCI-compliant payment processors and is never stored on our servers.
- Calendly. Our scheduling platform for diagnostic calls, training inquiries, and consultations. When you book a meeting through a Calendly link on our site, your name, email, time zone, and any answers you provide on the booking form are transmitted to Calendly to schedule and confirm the meeting. Calendly is operated by Calendly LLC and subject to its Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare. Our hosting and content-delivery provider. All traffic to this site flows through Cloudflare's edge network, which logs request metadata (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp) for security and performance purposes. Cloudflare is subject to its Privacy Policy.
On-site diagnostic tools (Conflict Cost Calculator + Conflict Readiness Assessment)
Two interactive tools on this site — the Conflict Cost Calculator and the Conflict Readiness Assessment — collect a small amount of information before showing you your result.
- What we collect: the inputs you provide (organization size, turnover rate, HR time on conflict, industry, or assessment answers depending on the tool) plus the name, work email, organization, and role you enter on the email gate before viewing results.
- What we store: all of the above, plus the computed result (annual cost figure or readiness tier), as a contact record in Keap. The result is also displayed on-screen.
- What we use it for: sending you follow-up communications about HCI training and partnership options relevant to the result you saw, if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe or request deletion at any time using the contact methods described below.
- What we do NOT do: we do not share the result with any third party other than the providers named above, and we do not use individual results to make automated decisions about you. The cost models and tier definitions are publicly available — your inputs and result remain associated with your contact record only.
